Reflecting on 2025 and Looking Ahead to 2026

As 2025 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on another busy year for Bookers & Bolton, looking back on the past twelve months, and sharing our gratitude, achievements, and aspirations for the year ahead. From celebrating new team leaders to achieving important accreditations and continuing our involvement with local community causes, we have remained committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients across Alton, Hampshire, and beyond.

Thank You to Our Clients

On behalf of our partners and the entire team at Bookers & Bolton, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all our clients for their trust and support throughout 2025.

Your confidence in us is the foundation of everything we do. Whether you have instructed us on a property transaction, created a Will, navigated a family law matter, or sought business advice, we are proud to have been part of your journey this year.

Celebrating Our Team

This year has seen significant growth and development across our firm, with new leadership appointments and continued professional development.

New Heads of Department and Leadership Roles

We are delighted that Jaeda Moayedi-Azarpour has joined us as Head of Property. Jaeda brings extensive conveyancing experience to the role and has already made a significant impact in leading our conveyancing teams across the firm. We have also seen Dawn Booker and Cindy Dando take on team leadership responsibilities within the Property Department, ensuring our clients receive dedicated support throughout their transactions.

In our Private Client department, Emma Bell has taken on the role of Head of Department. Emma has been practising as a solicitor for almost 20 years and has extensive experience in all areas of Private Client law, including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection matters. Emma has done an excellent job of ensuring stability and continuity for our clients during what has been a period of growth for the department.

Commitment to Training and Development

We are proud that Victoria Murphy, a valued member of our Private Client team, will be taking her final exams in January 2026 and know that she will soon become a fully qualified solicitor. Victoria’s dedication to her training reflects our firm’s commitment to developing the next generation of legal professionals.

With so many firms now using unqualified staff, we remain committed to ensuring all our team members have the opportunity to study and qualify properly. We continue to take on new trainees because we believe they deserve the chance to build successful legal careers with proper support and mentorship.

This year, our entire team took part in Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends training. As a result, we have implemented changes to our office practices to better support clients with dementia diagnoses. Emma Bell also successfully completed the Solicitors for the Elderly specialist training course, further enhancing our expertise in this important area.

You can find out more about our approach to supporting elderly and vulnerable clients on our website.

Reaffirming Our Commitment to Best Practice

Quality and professionalism are at the heart of everything we do. This year, we have regained membership, accreditations, and achieved best practice recognition in several key areas:

  • LEAP Best Practice Standard (BPS) for conveyancing – demonstrating our commitment to efficiency and client service in property transactions.
  • The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) – the recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices.
  • Cyber Essentials Accreditation – confirming our commitment to protecting our clients’ data and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.

These accreditations reaffirm our dedication to excellence and give our clients peace of mind that they are working with a properly regulated, professional firm.

Supporting Our Local Community

Being at the heart of our Alton and Hampshire community has always been important to us. Throughout 2025, we have continued to support local businesses and charities in various ways.

Most recently, members of our team donned their antlers to take part in the St Michael’s Hospice Reindeer Run in Alton. Supporting St Michael’s Hospice and the vital care they provide to local families is something we are proud to do.

Earlier in the year, we also distributed donations to many local charities using SRA-regulated funds from unclaimed sources. These donations provided a real boost to organisations doing important work in our community.

Our commitment to supporting the local area reflects the values that have guided our firm since 1893. We will remain actively involved in community initiatives throughout 2026.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we step into 2026, we have exciting plans to continue improving our services and supporting our clients.

Our priorities for the coming year include:

  • Reviewing our technology and systems to enhance efficiency and improve your experience when instructing us.
  • Staying ahead of emerging trends and legislative changes in the legal sector to ensure we remain innovative and responsive to your needs.
  • Continuing to invest in our people through training and professional development.
  • Maintaining our strong community connections and supporting local causes.

We look forward to sharing more updates with you throughout the coming year.
