Bookers & Bolton Sponsors Centrepoint Room for Giving Tuesday

It was Giving Tuesday last week (3 December 2024), a day that is marked around the world to encourage people to do good.

The event started in 2012 and over the last decade has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Organisers encourage participants to volunteer their time, donate money, share their skills, campaign for something, donate goods, food, or clothes, organise a community event such as a street or park clean-up or a coffee morning – the list is endless.

Giving Tuesday is all about exploring the different ways you can give, so anything goes!

Each year, Bookers & Bolton show our support for the initiative by sponsoring a room at Centrepoint.

All young people deserve a good start in life.  However, not everyone has a stable home and thousands of young people face this winter being homeless on the streets.

Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills to get them back into education, training and employment.

It is their wish to end homelessness by 2037.

This is a cause very much close to our hearts. Our Practice Manager, Paula Langley, used to be Head of Special Needs in secondary education and has witnessed firsthand the way young lives can be affected by situations beyond their control.

Helping to support young people back to a healthy and productive life can help them build a great future that will benefit us all.

It’s not too late to join in with Giving Tuesday! Even if you have missed the day itself, you can use the occasion to kickstart your own personal generosity movement by sharing why you are #ProudToGive, and why your audience should be too.
