Bookers & Bolton – Serving the Community at the Citizens Advice Bureau

Access to  Justice

At Bookers & Bolton, we understand that there are people in Alton and the surrounding area who need legal advice but are unable to afford the cost of legal fees. Since the wholescale reduction in Legal Aid support, many have been left without access to justice. This is something we want to try and address.

Free Advice

We believe that our legal expertise and experience should be put to good use in the local community. We offer free advice on Family Law at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Alton. Our family law pro bono work is delivered by our Head of Family, Hannah Anderson, who volunteers regularly at the Citizens Advice Bureau Office on Cross Pillary Lane. She is able to give free advice to people who attend.

Hannah Anderson – Solicitor

Hannah is a solicitor who began her legal career working in the Family Department of a firm in Hertfordshire before moving back to her home county of Hampshire. She subsequently worked for one of the largest law firms in the country before joining Bookers & Bolton in 2016.  She is now the lead solicitor in the Family Department with a growing client base.

Hannah is on hand at the CAB to give free advice to those that cannot afford the cost of coming to the firm and yet still need to know the law on family issues. She understands that sometimes family matters are urgent and important and yet people can’t get help because they are afraid of running up bills they can’t pay, particularly when there are children involved.
