Why Us

Our History

In September 2023 we moved offices from the High Street to 88 Normandy Street. It is approximately a 10–15-minute walk and you can park for 50p an hour in the St Mary’s Church car park opposite, subject to spaces. If you require disabled access or a home visit, then please contact us in advance of your meeting.

The history of Bookers & Bolton dates back to 1893 so you can rely on us to be there for you and your family in the future. There is a security in our legal history and we act for many clients whose grandparents were advised by us. We have built a reputation for quality and reliability in Hampshire and the South and we are committed to maintaining and building on that reputation. Whilst other firms come and go and may offer the promise of low cost legal services, we remain committed to providing you with the best. We recognise that you only come to us when faced with the most important decisions in life and we treat you, and those issues, with the respect and legal diligence that they call for.

Our Systems & Technology

Even with our history we have moved with the times. You can communicate directly with your dedicated lawyer and their team in a range of ways including one of our online portals.
Our sophisticated case management system, LEAP, means your file is stored electronically, will never be lost and is at the finger tips of your case manager. It also tracks the time we spend on your file ensuring total transparency in our billing.
We can share documents with you directly from your matter via a secure link using Law Connect and you can upload documents to us.
Perfect Portal, our Conveyancing system, ensures you have instant estimates that fully outline all of the costs involved with buying or selling your property. It gives you key stage updates every step of the way and you can log in yourself to see where you are at any time – either online or through the Perfect Update App.
We are always striving to ensure that we use technology to save you time and money and keep your vital documents safe.
‘For us, technology and innovation is always about improving customer service and the quality of work/life balance for our team,’ says Practice Manager, Paula Langley. ‘We value our people and want them to have time to value our clients. Using technology well can mean an end to paper in a modern law firm and this, in itself, will lead us all quietly in to a green revolution.’
As Senior Partner, Gideon Cristofoli, is proud of his firm and how it has developed over the 23 years he has been here. He says: ‘It makes me so proud to see that we have embraced technology whilst not losing our traditional values of excellent lawyers, customer care and the personal touch. When you can marry the new with the old is when you get true innovation.’
We have a DOWNLOADS section where you can access all of our free guides and important forms.

Peace of Mind

One of the things a legal firm with our kind of history and expertise can offer you is peace of mind. We will be here when you want a copy of your will or you need help planning for a loved one. We are fully insured so if the unusual happens, we are all covered. We are Hampshire experts as well as legal experts. We are governed by professional bodies and by our own pride in ensuring quality of service. Many cheaper, online services do not give you this peace of mind. Why take a risk with the most important things in your life; your house, your family, your future? Let us give you the peace of mind you deserve.

Our Team

We are proud of our team at Bookers & Bolton and feel it is our people that set us above other firms. You will always be greeted by our Receptionist who is there to help you the moment you step through our door. Our four legal teams are headed by a legal expert in that field with long standing experience of the law. Each team has dedicated support which means matters progress efficiently and you will be kept regularly informed. Our large team work behind the scenes to ensure quality and speed of service. We understand that nobody likes surprises or delays when dealing with something of such importance.
